Hosted annually by the Port Sanilac Parks and Rec committee, the Halloweeen Costume Contest is a not-to-be-missed Port Sanilac tradition.  People from Port Sanilac and the surrounding communities meet, prior to trick-or-treating on Halloween night, at the Sanilac Township Hall to show off their costumes, pick up treat bags, and share in doughnuts and cider.

Neighbors visit and get the opportunity to see each others children in the full light.  This opportunity increases the safety of trick-or-treaters for the rest of the evening.  Neighbors are able to look out better for children they recognize.

This community-building activity would not be possible without the hard work of the Port Sanilac Parks and Rec committee.   Thanks goes out to them!
