Stop at the famers' market each Friday to experience a feeling of community like no other. At the Port Sanilac Farmers' Market you are able to meet the men and women who grow and make the foods and crafts you buy. In today's world, where there are so many questions about food safety, getting to know your local farmer and learning about his farming practices is the best way to insure that your food is safe and wholesome.

The Port Sanilac Farmers' Market is a strict "producers" market. This means that all goods must be made or grown within Sanilac, Huron, or Tuscola County. No vegetables or finished products can be trucked in. This guarantees that the items you buy at the market are truly 'local'.

The farmers' market is also a great opportunity to get to know your neighbors! Everyone, from the woman next door to site seers just passing through, stop at the market to pick up a few things or just to see what's available.

Vendors interested in participating in the market should contact Jennifer Powell for more information. Vendors must be within Sanilac, Huron, or Tuscola County and all merchandise must be produced within the county. No "trucking" allowed.
